Assoc. Prof. Zawawi Bin Daud

Dr. Zawawi Daud works as an Associate Professor at Faculty of Civil and Environmental Engineering, Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia. Born and trained in Malaysia, he has a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (University of Technology Malaysia), a master’s in Civil Engineering (Environment) (University of Technology Malaysia), and a doctorate in Environmental Engineering (University of Science Malaysia). Dr. Zawawi teaches various courses related to environmental engineering, management and science at undergraduate and masters levels. These include water and wastewater treatment, biological and physico-chemical treatment processes, sludge management, industrial and hazardous waste management and water quality management. Dr. Zawawi’s research focuses on alleviating problems associated with water pollution issues from industrial wastewater and landfill leachate. His latest interest is on natural adsorbent material in water and wastewater treatments.
Dr. Vaishali Sahu is an Engineering Professional with an overall experience of 14 + Years in Academics and Research in the field of Civil Engineering. Currently, she is Associate Professor & Officiating Head, Department of Civil & Environmental Engineering at The NorthCap University, Gurgaon, Haryana. She has obtained her Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from SGSITS, Indore and Master’s in Environmental Engineering from IIT Roorkee. She has done her Ph.D. from The NorthCap University, Gurgaon. Her area of specialization is waste and resource management, sustainable waste management, water and waste water treatment processes, recycle and reuse potential. She has published over 32 research papers in reputed peer-reviewed National and International journals, 1 book, and more than 15 research papers in conference proceedings. She is serving as a reviewer to various reputed International Journals. She has supervised 2 PhD thesis and 11 MTech dissertations and over 20 B.Tech projects in the area of sustainable waste management, water resource management, pollution and control, environmental geotechnology. She is currently guiding 5 PhD Scholars at NCU. Dr. Sahu has completed one DST funded project titled, “Experimental and Numerical Study of Single Pile Capacity Adjacent to Existing Buried Pipe System” in 2019 with the sanctioned cost of Rs. 25.41 lakhs.
